Interior design is more than just an appealing aesthetic — done well, it can make your home happier and healthier too. That’s why we founded Lifestyle Design Co. in 2023, to offer thoughtful interior design solutions that transform your home into a haven of wellness and connection — on budget and without all the stress and overwhelming decision-making.

We prioritise environmentally friendly products and materials as much as possible, such as low-VOC paints, natural oils, organic materials, energy-efficient doors and windows, Australian-made furnishings and recycled and reused items. Better for you and better for our planet too.

Collaboration is an integral part of our design process. We work 1:1 with you throughout the process to create living spaces that genuinely resonate with your lifestyle. And all backed by our extensive network of industry suppliers and quality trades, many of whom we’ve worked with for more than two decades via our  building company, Orth Property Group.

When should you hire an interior designer?

Whether you’re building a new home or renovating an existing building, we recommend working with interior designers right from the beginning of your project, when plans are being drawn up.

Kate Parsonage

Design Director

Kate Parsonage, co-founder of Lifestyle Design Co.

Kate’s diverse career spans multiple industries, including a decade in mergers and acquisitions for a global bank. But it was while taking time out of the corporate world to raise her three children — and renovate and build four houses — that her love for interior design was born. Since formally studying interior decoration in 2016-17, Kate has cemented her unique flair and style.

Larissa brings more than 25 years of property industry experience to the team. After designing large retail projects for a multinational food brand, Larissa joined forces with her brothers to establish the construction company Orth Property Group — which now works in tandem with Lifestyle Design Co. With meticulous attention to detail, Larissa loves creating spaces that seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetic appeal.
